One way of using technology in the classroom is by showing videos that the students find interesting that still teach them about math. Many videos can be found on YOUtube, which is a site most students are familiar with. You can also have students find videos on YOUtube or in some cases even create and post an educational video to YOUtube. This is a great way to get students to really care if they understand the material because for many students it may be important that they do not put up false information if they are presenting it in a video online. If you gave this assignment and had time to do so it would be cool to show the students' videos in class. here is an example of onesuch video you could show in class.

This website has some games that the student can play that will tell them if they are getting the answer correct right away. It also has different levels so it is good for differentiating instructions. I think that this is a great use of technology in the classroom because it gets students to actually practice the work even when they think it is easy. And because there are different levels the students can get the same result on the game and one student can have harder problems to practice than the another student.
Many teachers let students use graphing calculators in the classroom. I think that the use of graping calculators to help kids get a better understanding of the material they learned by hand can be helpful to the students. I think it is important that the students graph by hand first and then check their solutions with the graphing calculators. here is a website where the national council of teachers of mathematics discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using graphing calculators in the classroom.http://www.ericdigests.org/2000-2/graphing.htm
